Private Lessons

SportsCare Arena offers private figure skating lessons for all ages and skill levels, from beginners through advanced competitive skaters. Lessons are available in various disciplines, including Basic Skills, Skating Skills (formerly known as Moves in the Field), Singles, Ice Dance, and Synchronized Skating. All lessons are taught by experienced, certified instructors.

Private lessons may be one-on-one or semi-private and are tailored to each skater’s individual goals. Whether learning and reinforcing basics or refining jumps and spins, our instructors customize each lesson to meet the skater’s needs.

Days & Times
Private lessons take place during public skating or freestyle sessions depending on the skater’s discipline and skill level. During the winter months/hockey season, most private lessons take place on weekends or early mornings due to ice availability.

Cost
Private lesson prices vary by instructor. Families pay the instructor directly for the lesson fee. In addition, skaters must pay the rink for the ice time corresponding to the session they are skating on, whether public skating or freestyle. Both fees are required in order to participate in private lessons.

Booking
Please email nchristou@sportscarearena.com with your current skating experience, the type of lessons you are looking for, and your availability. Once you are set up with a private lesson instructor, you will book specific lesson dates and times directly with them.

Instructor Approval
All private lesson instructors must be approved to teach at SportsCare Arena. Any outside instructors must receive approval from the rink prior to teaching on any
SportsCare Arena sessions. Coaches interested in becoming an approved coach should contact Nicole Chistou at nchristou@sportscarearena.com.
